This cemetery is on a very level, sandy property, with no stones, no hills, and the grass is mostly covered with pine needles from the huge pine trees on the west and east sides. The soil on several graves has fallen in so there are a few uneven patches; as well, the animals were digging for grubs and insects here this summer.

Across the Highway #515 from the church and cemetery is the Madawaska River; just up the road west a few hundred feet is the Latchford Bridge, which crosses the river and the highway continues on to Palmer Rapids. The first bridge was built in 1901, named after a member of the provincial government. The church was constructed in 1902-3, and the land (three acres) was donated by Patrick Byrnes.

The local residents assisted with the construction of the church and services are still held here, although it is now a Mission of Combermere, where the Priest resides.
