The land for this cemetery was acquired from the Crown at a cost of $5.00, the amount required to draw up the deed for the lot.

The original church was built on this site in 1888, a small log building which was sold in 1944 and dismantled in 1949. Services were held here until a new church was built in 1912-13. This second church was built on land acquired from David Liedtke. The building material was cut from the woods-of limit-holder H. F. McLachlin of Arnprior and he granted the timber free of charge as long as they sent him the number, length and diameter of each species of log cut. In 1911 the men of the congregation cut and hauled the timber to Quade’s sawmill in Quadeville, where it was sawn. By July 13, 1913 the new church was dedicated. It is on a very steep hill overlooking the hamlet of Schutt. At one time there was a post office, general store and a school in this little hamlet. Today all are closed.

The cemetery is on a sloping hill of different levels. The hill slopes to the south and all the stones face east. Some parts or levels are very steep. The cemetery is .6 Kms west of Highway #5l4 at Schutt on Mocassin Lake Road and is very well maintained.
